The idea of Evolution was born in Sweden in 2006. It was inspired by the world-renowned casino in Monte Carlo. Using the rapidly emerging technology, Evolution founders Jens von Bahr, Fredrik Österberg and Richard Hadida wanted to bring the excitement from the live player experience in to the home.
From that came our brand promise of delivering a product which was AS REAL AS IT GETS, and our key corporate value ALIVE.
In our first studio in Riga, Latvia, we had the BBC newscast running in the back to prove that it the game was done in real time.
We started out trying to copy a land-based casino, and then realized that we are everything BUT a traditional casino. The experience that we offer is unique.
We have worked hard to not only build a company, but also a product category. Most of our growth has been organic, but in 2018, we bought Ezugi, adding a second Live Casino offer to the Group. In 2020, we acquired NetEnt AB, which broadened our offer to also include Online Slots and added both the NetEnt and Red Tiger brands. In 2021, product brands Big Time Gaming and DigiWheel were added to our line up and in 2022, we acquired Nolimit City.
Today, we operate as a Group, sharing the same base in terms of values and ambition, but with seven strong product brands, each with their own distinct character.
There is no roadmap for how to build a global company like ours. We have had to figure it out along the way. That is no smooth journey. We would never have been what we are today if we had not constantly been challenging ourselves and pushing the limits of what had been done.

We have close to a 100 nationalities in our teams. Our youngest team member is 18 and our oldest is 59. The average age in our teams is 32. To some, we are the very first step in their career, to others, we are the place where they refine their skills and expand their professional horizon.
