Our Summer at the Ballpark Was a Home Run
Ask anyone who has spent a summer in Vancouver, and they’ll probably tell you the same thing: Vancouver summers are hard to beat!
Even if you’re not usually a summer person, it’s difficult not to fall in love with this time of year with long sunny days, blue skies, comfortable temperatures and plenty of reasons to spend more time outdoors.
And because Vancouver’s beautiful summer never seems to last quite long enough, you have to make the most of it while it’s here.
So this year, we decided to do exactly that.
Taking Our Summer Event Outdoors
Our annual summer event has traditionally been a party held indoors. But this year, we wanted to change things up.
Instead of spending another summer event indoors, we brought our employees out for a series of baseball games at Nat Bailey Stadium.

A Day at the Ballpark
For many of our employees, this was our first time watching a baseball game in Canada. For some, it was their first baseball game ever.
But that’s part of the fun.
You can follow every play, or you can simply enjoy the food, music, sunshine and vibes with the people around you. There’s plenty happening around the stadium even when you’re not quite sure what’s happening on the field.
Many of us were there for the vibes!
Did you know?
The Vancouver Canadians are a Minor League Baseball team affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays. Minor League Baseball is where many professional players develop their skills on their journey toward the Major Leagues (MLB).
That means some of the young players taking the field in Vancouver today could become the Major League stars of tomorrow.
A Ballpark Tradition

Did you know?
The tradition of playing national anthems at baseball games goes back more than a century!
It gained popularity during the 1918 World Series amid World War I and has since become a familiar pre-game tradition across North America.
Ballpark Treats Are on Us!
What’s a trip to the ballpark without some classic stadium food and drinks?
Everyone received $40 in C’s Cash to spend on food, drinks and more around the stadium.

Meet the Famous Yard Dog
You can’t do a ballpark day without the food. Meet the famous Yard Dog, a Nat Bailey Stadium favourite and part of the Vancouver Canadians experience.

One More Vancouver Memory
Evolution Canada is home to people from many different countries and backgrounds, and many of our employees have made Vancouver their new home.
That’s one reason experiences like this can be a little more special.
It’s not only about having a company event. It’s also a chance to get outside, try something new and experience a little more of the city we live and work in.
We hope everyone went home with some good photos, good memories and one more Vancouver experience to add to the list.
Summer, We’re Going to Miss You☀️
After several days at the ballpark, plenty of sunshine and lots of cheering, that’s a wrap on our 2026 summer event.
It was something a little different for us this year, and we loved getting the chance to spend part of Vancouver’s beautiful summer outdoors together.
Thanks to all our EVOlutioneers who joined us at the ballpark.
And now that September is here…
We’re missing summer already.

This Could Be Your Next Summer at Evolution
At Evolution Canada, we’re always looking for new ways to bring our people together and celebrate their hard work.
And who knows what we’ll have planned next?
