When your seven-year-old asks what you do for a living, most parents can give a simple answer. Doctor. Lawyer. Teacher. But for Asnate<\/strong>, Head of U.S. Operations at Evolution<\/strong>, it\u2019s not quite that easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy son constantly asks me, \u2018Mommy, what do you do?\u2019 And honestly, it\u2019s hard to explain,\u201d she says with a smile. \u201cBecause my role is everything and nothing at the same time\u2014it\u2019s making sure the whole machine runs smoothly, 24\/7.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From hiring and training to scheduling, compliance, player experience, and performance KPIs\u2014operations<\/strong> is the heartbeat of the studio. And with nearly 3,000 team members across the U.S. alone, it\u2019s no small task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery day is different. One day it\u2019s a scheduling puzzle, the next it\u2019s about compliance, or player experience, or finding where the gaps are and closing them. There are so many moving pieces, but it all matters. And most importantly, it all starts with people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asnate emphasizes that Evolution\u2019s culture has always put people first\u2014something that has made a huge difference in her own journey. \u201cRetention matters, engagement matters. The longer people stay, the stronger our talent pool becomes. We can\u2019t run a world-class operation without caring for the people who make it run.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But her road into operations wasn\u2019t exactly traditional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally focused on HR and recruitment, she made a bold pivot into the operational side of the business. \u201cLooking back, I don\u2019t know how I did it\u2014and I\u2019m not sure I\u2019d do it again,\u201d she laughs. \u201cThe biggest change was the speed. Operations moves fast. And the business doesn\u2019t stop\u2014it runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She shares how, in the beginning, even understanding the logistics of something as simple as how playing cards were handled was eye-opening. \u201cI remember seeing a message about how cards were disposed of incorrectly and thinking, \u2018Why does that matter?\u2019 But then I learned\u2014we\u2019re in a highly regulated industry. Every small detail is part of a much bigger picture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the intensity, she wouldn\u2019t trade it. \u201cIt\u2019s not easy. But when it works\u2014and we deliver a seamless experience for our players and a supportive, growth-focused culture for our people\u2014it\u2019s incredibly rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
