The IT Specialist is responsible for assembling and maintaining in-house technology equipment and studio assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading and troubleshooting all studio hardware, software and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- To identify and deliver required hardware and software service levels.
- To provide hands-on assistance to the Technical Operations team and to relay IT related recommendations.
- To install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot studio and network hardware, peripheral devices, scanning devices, POE camera equipment, other products, and associated software.
- To perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware/ software problems for a variety of studio and network devices.
- To assist in the adaptation and incorporation of Audio/Video hardware.
- To get to know well the TechOps related gear, components, procedures, nomenclature, systems, etc. and to remain up to date on relevant new technologies and developments.
- To respond to incoming calls, tickets, and/or e-mails regarding hardware problems.
- To contribute and maintain proper documentation.
- To provide training to the team members or other relevant personnel if needed.
